The Municipality of Bluewater is taking proactive steps to limit the potential spread of the Cornavirus COVID-19 within our communities.

Thank you for everyone’s effort to “flatten the curve” and keep our communities safe in response to
COVID-19.  Physical distancing, including self-monitoring and self-isolation are public health measures that can delay and decrease the number of cases.

As of March 26, an Emergency Order under the Quarantine Act requires any person entering Canada by air, sea or land to self-isolate for 14 days whether or not they have symptoms of COVID-19.  There are a few exceptions, please see Public Health Agency of Canada's latest instructions for travellers.

At this time, local police are responsible for upholding the Emergency Order. If you have concerns about a violation, do not call 911 - call your local police station non-emergency number.

If you are concerned about a person's actions, we encourage you to have a respectful conversation with that person, following all the Public Health Agency of Canada’s Physical Distancing requirements, and remind them about the current recommendations for stopping the spread of COVID-19 in our communities.

If you have concerns about an order violation and would like to make a report please call the Ontario
Provincial Police non-emergency line at 1-888-310-1122 not 911.  It is essential to ensure that 911 lines are open in order for responses to be generated to emergencies that need immediate actions from fire, police or paramedics.
