A Message from Bluewater Fire Services

On behalf of the men and women of the Bluewater Fire Services, welcome to our webpages, and thank you for taking the time to visit.  I trust that you will find our site educational and informative as we strive to provide the most up-to-date information as possible.

Fire safety within the Municipality is the responsibility of the Fire Chief, supported by 84 firefighters operating from 4 fire stations who make up the Bluewater Fire Services. As Fire Chief, I am committed to providing the most effective, efficient and cost-effective fire protection service for our community.

Our goal is to minimize the loss of life and property threatened by the hazards of fire, rescue emergencies and disaster situations in our community. We accomplish these goals through a proactive approach to fire protection, ongoing training and community educational programs as well as through the procurement of quality equipment and apparatus, and a dedicated team environment.

I urge you to do your part to help keep our community safe. First, remember the simple message that “Smoke Alarms Save Lives!” Each residence should have at least one smoke alarm on every floor level of the home and outside all sleeping areas. Also, plan an escape route from your home just in case you are faced with a fire. Establish a meeting place for your family and once outside, stay outside. Make fire safety a part of your daily life and take the time to remove potential hazards.

Again, thank you for visiting us and taking the time to learn more about the Bluewater Fire Services.

Stay safe!
