The next municipal election will be held October 24th, 2022. The certified list of candidates and list of acclaimed offices can be found on our municipal election page. Voting for the 2022 election will be done electronically through telephone and internet voting.
Residents can check if they are on the voters' list by calling or visiting the municipal office and speaking to someone in the Corporate Services department. Verifying if someone is on the voters' list cannot be done by email. Eligible voters wishing to be added to the voters' list will be required to show proof of identity and residence. Proof of residence must include the qualifying address in Bluewater.
Eligible voters will receive a voter information letter by mail after September 30th. This letter will include instructions for how to place your vote, including your unique PIN number. When you receive your voter information letter, please make sure all information is correct. You will need your PIN and birthdate to vote. If you notice any errors in your information or if you do not receive a voter letter, please call 519-236-4351 ext. 245.
The voting period will open on October 11th, 2022 at 9 a.m. and will close on October 24th, 2022 at 8 p.m. Voting help is available at the municipal office once the voting period opens. Help desk hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. The help desk will be open for extended hours on Wednesday, October 19th (8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.) and it will be open until the close of the voting period at 8 p.m. Monday, October 24th.
