Special meeting of Council for draft short-term rental by-law

Special meeting to be held January 26th at 6:30 p.m.

Special meeting of Council for draft short-term rental by-law

Bluewater's Council has been discussing short-term rentals in the municipality since 2020. In 2022, the Municipality received feedback on a draft licensing by-law from a 90-day public survey and a public meeting held in October. Staff received close to 800 responses.

Following an update from staff on November 21st, 2022, Council asked for a special meeting of Council to be held on January 26th, 2023, to review the updated draft short-term rental licensing by-law.

This special council meeting will be a hybrid meeting where anyone can attend virtually or in-person. It will begin at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be livestreamed on the municipality's YouTube channel. An agenda with a link to watch the meeting will be posted in our council portal by the end of the day Friday, January 20th. For those wishing to attend in person, the meeting will be held at Council Chambers at the Stanley Complex, 38594 Mill Road, Varna.
