Council Highlights—May 5

At its Regular Meeting of Council on May 5, 2025, Council of the Municipality of Bluewater:

• Authorized an exemption from the Hawkers, Peddlers and Buskers By-law to the Zurich Agricultural Society to hire The Outback Shack 2.0 food truck for a drive-through fundraiser on June 21, 2025 at the Zurich Arena.
• Approved amendments to the Encroachment By-law and the Road Damage Deposit Policy.
• Awarded Tender BW-FAC02-2025 to replace the North Varna Baseball Diamond Lighting to Forman Electric Ltd. in the amount of $74,470.00 (plus HST).
• Awarded the Request for Proposal (RFP) BW-FAC24-09 for the Zurich Park Playground Removal & Replacement (Option #2) to Henderson Recreation in the amount of $104,831.62 excluding HST.
• Accepted the RFP from Tenet Security Group for By-law Enforcement, Animal Control Services and directed staff to bring back a contract to the next meeting of Council.
