Council Highlights—March 2

At its Regular Meeting of Council on March 2, 2026, Council of the Municipality of Bluewater:

• Directed staff to apply to the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) Capital Grant stream for the Hensall Arena Door Replacement Project in the amount of $180,000.
• Authorized a By-law to prohibit hunting activities on municipally owned lands.
• Directed staff to engage with the Bayfield River Valley Trail Association to explore opportunities for collaboration in administering the recreational fishing waste diversion program and should the program proceed, Council approved the installation within the vicinity of the Bayfield Main Beach/Pier.
• Authorized the collection of interim costs for the construction of the Shapton Drain Improvement and Schroeders Branch 2025 project.
