Council Highlights—May 20

At its Regular Meeting of Council on May 20, 2025, Council of the Municipality of Bluewater:

• Approved the initiative of the Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria to donate a commemorative bench for installation within the Village of Varna.
• Approved the Community Improvement Plan application for 113 King Street, Hensall in the amount of $5,000 including HST based on the submitted quote for the proposed work.
• Passed a By-law authorizing amendments to the Site Plan Control Policy.
• Approved a Road Signage Policy.
• Approved that the limbs of the Willow tree in front of the Little Inn be removed and the tree be pollarded.
• Directed staff to work with the Communities in Bloom and Environmental Committee to prepare a draft Environmental Strategy document for the municipality.
