Date: Monday, March 16th, 2026 at 6:30 p.m.

Location: A hybrid meeting allowing for both electronic and in-person attendees. In person attendees may attend Council Chambers, Stanley Community Centre, 38594 Mill Rd, Varna, ON N0M 2R0.

Purpose and effect

The purpose of this Minor Variance application is to reduce the interior side yard setback to allow more space for the proposed dwelling and septic systems.

Section 26.9.9.b stipulates that in an area zoned R2-9 that contains a multiple-unit dwelling, a 3 metre interior side yard setback is required on the unattached side.

The variance seeks to vary Section 26.9.9.b to permit a 1.5 metre interior side yard setback on the unattached side of a multiple-unit dwelling, whereas the by-law permits a minimum of 3 metres.

Zoning: Residential Medium Density - R2-9
