Spring green waste collection
Spring green waste collection is being offered again this year during the month of April.
Collection will take place on the last three Tuesdays of April in Bayfield, Brucefield, Dashwood, Hensall, Kippen, Varna and Zurich (April 15, 22, and 29).
Pickup is scheduled for lakeshore subdivisions (those located west of Highway 21 between Waterworks Road and Paul Bunyan Road) for the last Wednesday in April (April 30).
Please note:
- All leaves must be bagged in brown paper bags (not plastic).
- Brush, garbage, or animal waste will not be picked up.
- Bagged leaves must be placed at the curb or roadside in front of the property for pick up by 7 a.m.
- In lakeshore subdivisions, waste piled in a central location within an association will not be collected.
- Waste put out after the the last scheduled pick up date for your area will not be collected.
Additionally, the Municipality provides two locations for disposing of green waste which are open year round:
- Stanley Landfill: green waste can be disposed of at the Stanley landfill with a valid blue card when open to the public.
- Green Waste Depot: Green waste can be dropped off anytime at the green waste depot at 72879 Blind Line.
