Tree Power in Bluewater
Festival Hydro, Bluewater, and ABCA are joining forces for Tree Power in Bluewater!
The Municipality of Bluewater is excited to join Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) and Festival Hydro in offering affordable native trees to the Bluewater community through the Tree Power Program.
“Bluewater understands the importance of trees to the health of our residents and to our environment. The Municipality has been fortunate enough to work with ABCA in planting trees on municipal property for several years. Through the Tree Power Program, access to affordable native trees is made easier for our residents, assisting them in bringing the health and environmental benefits of trees to their own yard,” said Mayor Paul Klopp of the initiative.
This program is available exclusively to residents of Bluewater.

Tree pickup for residents of Bluewater takes place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Zurich Ball Diamond parking lot, located at 24A Main St., Zurich, ON N0M 2T0.
The deadline to order trees for the Bluewater Tree Power Program will be Thursday, September 24, 2026 (while supplies last).
The Municipality of Bluewater supports resident initiatives to help grow Bluewater’s urban canopy and green spaces. Interested residents are reminded that road allowances, boulevards, parks, trails and other public lands are municipal property. Residents looking to plant a tree in any of these locations are asked to contact the Municipality of Bluewater before planting so the proposed location can be reviewed and approved. Suitably located trees have a greater chance of survival for years to come.
About Tree Power
This new partnership initiative supports environmental sustainability by encouraging the planting of carefully selected native species of trees that can provide shade, improve air quality, enhance local community members' green spaces, and help reduce residential energy use over time.
