Advance voting opens October 13, 2026 at 9 a.m.
The Municipality of Bluewater's telephone and internet voting system will open at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 for advance voting in the municipal election. The system will remain open until 8 p.m. on Election Day, October 26, 2026.
The Municipality of Bluewater will be conducting the 2026 election by phone or internet. Voter information letters were mailed via Canada Post the last week of September to all registered voters. Voters will require the unique access information in the voter information letter to cast their vote.
Municipal election staff will be hosting extended hours to help voters with registering, updating information, or casting their vote.
Telephone and internet voting equipment will be available for use at the municipal office starting October 13th at 9 a.m. Anyone requiring assistance with voting or who would like to use the municipal equipment is welcome to visit the office with their identification and voter information letter.
Anyone who has not received a voter information letter is asked to contact the municipal office. Please call 519-236-4351 and ask to speak to a member of Corporate Services. They will provide information on next steps. Voters may also visit our office at 14 Mill Ave., Zurich, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Valid ID and proof of residency are required when registering to vote (see our municipal election page for more information).
Election staff will also be available:
- October 17 at the Hensall Library, 108 King St., Hensall from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- October 17 at the Bayfield Library, 18 Main St., Bayfield from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
- October 21 at the municipal office, 14 Mill Ave, Zurich from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- October 26 at the municipal office, 14 Mill Ave, Zurich from 8:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. (close of voting)
