Help Desk Hours, Locations, and General Municipal Election Updates
The municipal election is one way to make sure your voice is heard by your local government. To cast your vote, you must be a registered to vote in the Municipality of Bluewater.

You can check online if you are registered to vote. Visit bluewater.voterservices.ca. You can also call the municipal office.
Not registered? Contact the election help desk and we can provide direction.
Voter information letters
Voter information letters have been mailed via Canada Post to all registered voters. If you do not receive a voter information letter by October 9th, 2026, please contact the election help desk.
Voting period
Internet and telephone voting opens October 13, 2026 @ 9 a.m. Registered voters can vote from anywhere at anytime by telephone or internet until October 26, 2026 @ 8 p.m.
You will need your voter information letter to log in to the voting system.
Help Desk
During the election period, municipal election staff are offering help desk hours. Help desk staff can assist with:
- Registering voters
- Checking if you are registered to vote
- Updating voter information
- Troubleshooting log in issues once the voting period opens
- Re-issuing lost or missing voter information letters
- Providing equipment to vote and helping voters log in (October 13 to October 26)
If you are coming to the help desk in person, please bring approved ID, including something that shows your Bluewater address, and your voter information letter if you received one.

We're open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Special and Extended Hours
October 17
Municipal election staff will be on-site at:
- Hensall library from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (108 King St., Hensall)
- Bayfield library from 12:30 to 2 p.m. (18 Main St., Bayfield)
October 21
Municipal election staff will be available at the municipal office, from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

- Update your information or register to vote
- Vote using our equipment (We can help you log in)
Election Day (October 26)
Help desk staff are available from 8:30 a.m. until the close of voting at 8 p.m.
Please note, Election Day is usually the busiest day of the election period. We recommend taking advantage of our help desk prior to Election Day. If you are experiencing difficulties with the voting system, please leave a message and staff will call you back.
