Notice of minor works: Bayfield Harbour annual dredge project

The Municipality of Bluewater hereby gives notice that a submission has been added to the Common Project Search (online registry) pursuant to the Canadian Navigable Waters Act described herein and its description.

Pursuant to paragraph 4(1) of the said Act, the Municipality of Bluewater has deposited a notification of a minor work in accordance with the requirements set out on the External Submission Site, on the online Common Project Search Registry and under registry number 5633, a description of the following work:

The Municipality of Bluewater, with support from Fisheries and Oceans Canada's Small Craft Harbours branch, is planning to perform an annual dredge of their harbour located on the shores of Lake Huron at the mouth of the Bayfield River in the village of Bayfield. Approximately 2,500 cubic metres will be dredged using a barge excavator and trucks to haul the dredge out of river. The dredge will occur May 1st-10th, 2024.

The work is taking place on and across the Bayfield Harbour at the foot of Long Hill Road.
