Emergency Preparedness

The Municipality of Bluewater is committed to making our municipality as safe as possible, which includes being prepared to manage any kind of an emergency (natural disaster, technological, environmental accidents, or service disruptions).

The Municipality of Bluewater’s Emergency Response Plan outlines how the Municipality, and its emergency response agencies will coordinate themselves to respond to, and help the Municipality recover from a large scale emergency. It outlines roles, responsibilities, procedures and guidelines that will be followed to protect the health, safety and well-being of Bluewater residents.

The Community Emergency Management Coordinator (CEMC) maintains the municipality’s Emergency Management Program. Please contact the municipal office if you would like to review the current Emergency Management Plan.

The County of Huron also has information about emergency management and emergency preparedness on the emergency management page of their website.
