Payment Options

There are a variety of ways to pay bills issued by the Municipality. Please note, payment options vary depending on the type of bill you are paying. Payment options and the type of bill they apply to are listed below.

Property taxes, utility bills and some receivables can be paid using online banking. Parking tickets cannot be paid through the bank.

You can pay using online or telephone banking or by taking your bill to your bank branch to have the teller process the payment.

To pay online, you will need to:

  1. Log in to your online banking.
  2. Choose the correct payee. (Tip: Search payee listings for Bluewater). If you have multiple bills, each roll or account number must be set up separately and a payment must be made to each separate account.
    • For property taxes, choose "Bluewater Municipality Taxes"  and enter the roll number from your tax bill (15 digits, no decimals or spaces).
    • For utilities, add "Bluewater Municipality PUC or Utilities" and use the 13-digit account number from your utility bill (no spaces or decimals).
    • For receivables, choose "Bluewater Municipality Receivables" and use the customer ID from your invoice to set up the account (9 digits, no spaces or dashes).
  3. Make your payment at least three days before the due date to avoid late payment fees.
  4. If you move make sure to update your account information.
    • For taxes, delete the roll number and add your new roll number if you have moved within Bluewater. Your roll number does not move with you.
    • For utilities, the utility account number is linked to the property, not the person. A new utility account is created each time a new person moves in or out of the property. If you move within Bluewater, you will need to make payments using your new account number.
    • For receivables, your customer ID might change if you move. Please verify your customer ID on your invoice statement before making a payment.

This option is available for property taxes, utilities, and receivables. Parking tickets cannot be paid using this option.
